'Wolfs' trailer: George Clooney, Brad Pitt reunite for first film together in 16 years

George Clooney and Brad Pitt's long-awaited on-screen reunion is almost here.
The actors are joining forces to star in their first film together in 16 years: "Wolfs," the trailer for which was released on Wednesday. Clooney, 63, and Pitt, 60, star in the new action comedy as two fixers hired for the same job.
In the footage, a woman (Amy Ryan) calls Clooney's professional fixer character for help disposing of a body. "There's nobody that can do what I do," he declares. But Pitt's character, another fixer, soon enters, leading to some awkward confusion as he says he was sent to deal with the same problem.
The two fixers, both lone wolves, are then forced to work together — and things get complicated as the man whose body they were disposing turns out to be alive, and a bag full of drugs is discovered.

Ahead of the trailer, Apple TV+ released a 30-second teaser showing the duo in a tense, silent car ride with only the windshield wiper making noise.
Clooney and Pitt have not been co-stars in a film since 2008's "Burn After Reading." Before that, the two real-life buddies famously starred together in the "Ocean's Eleven" film trilogy.
Technically, Clooney and Pitt's reunion already happened this month in John Krasinski's "If," though it wasn't exactly the proper on-screen pairing fans have been waiting for.
As a gag, Pitt was credited in the film as an invisible character who never speaks, while Clooney had an actual role as the voice of an imaginary friend.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight in December, Clooney sarcastically quipped he's working with "pretty boy" Pitt again because "he needed work, he's an up-and-comer." When asked if it felt like no time had passed since they last worked together, Clooney joked, "No, it feels like a lot of time has passed. Too much time."
"Wolfs" is directed by Jon Watts, marking the filmmaker's first movie in almost a decade that isn't part of the "Spider-Man" franchise. Watts helmed all three Tom Holland-led "Spider-Man" films, most recently 2021's "No Way Home." Before that, he was known for directing the Kevin Bacon thriller "Cop Car."

In an interview with Deadline last year, Clooney revealed there are already talks about a sequel to "Wolfs."
"It was a great shoot and Jon is an extraordinarily talented guy who's also really joyful," he said. "He loves what he does. We had a blast doing it and we've seen it. It's an off the charts great film and it's fun to work with Brad again. We had a really good time."

"Wolfs" is set for release on Sept. 20.
